17. Myanmar
Myanmar has been tearing itself asunder since 1948, with a series of non-stop insurgencies marking its bloody history, earning this particular conflict the title of “longest running civil war”. Ceasefires brokered over the years have done little to subdue the killing intent, and violence still erupts between the government of Myanmar and the numerous insurgent groups, already having cost the lives of up to 250.000 combatants.
