5. Mogadishu, Somalia

Somalia has a long history of bloody conflict dating back to the 1980’s. Today Mogadishu still witnesses frequent deadly outbursts, with the militant Islamic group Al Shabaab fiercely opposing the efforts of the Federal Government to rebuild the city. Although Al Shabaab was forced out of the city, the group merely returned to hit-and-run terror attacks, with the latest being the suicide bombing that killed 3 people last January.
