4. Northeast Nigeria
Host to the “Boko Haram Insurgency” of 2009, this area has been rabaged by religious violence instigated by ISIS’ most bloodthirsty branch. A Multinational Joint Task Force, mainly comprised of soldiers from Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, and Niger is engaged in perpetual combat with Boko Haram. Reports are sketchy, but casualties are estimated to be over 21.400, with another 2.400.000 people displaced.
