Rodrigo Duterte, the newly elected President of the Philippines, declared the start of his “Drug War” in July 2016. Since then, his Security Forces, and his Drug Enforcement Agency have gone on a killing spree against suspected drug users and distributors. Government-sanctioned extrajudicial executions are responsible for the murder of between 2.097 and 7.080 people, including Jee Ick-Joo, a South Korean businessman.
