Mickey Rooney
Mickey Rooney had a career in showbiz spanning nine decades, appearing in more than 300 films. Just before being drafted into the army during World War II, he was already one of the box office’s top stars. All in all, he served in the army from 1944 to 1946. He earned a Bronze Star for entertaining troops in combat zones.
