Harvey Keitel – Marines

Before starting his acting career, Harvey Keitel went to enlist with the United States Marine Corps at the young age of 16. He was assigned to Lebanon during their Operation Blue Bat. He said that the decision to join the Marines was a “spiritual journey,” adding, “It’s not about war. Our duty is to protect those who do not have the means to protect themselves.”
