George Foreman – Grill, Estimated $150 Million
One of the most lucrative endorsement deals in the history of advertising belongs to former boxing champion George Foreman. Nicknamed “Big George,” the former boxer made most of his fortune (post-retirement) from the deal and also got the product named after him.
Thus the “George Foreman Grill” was born and was promoted as a “Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine.” His contract guaranteed 45% of profits, so when the product was sold to Salton Inc., he was given $23.5 million in stocks and the rest in 5 installments of $22.75 million each.
