Time is one of the most important things in the world, probably the most important one. Without time we are lost. There are no days or months, birthdays or anniversaries, mornings and midnights. Sometimes, we just don’t realize how significant time is in everyone’s life. That is why some people can be careless in wasting it.
You should start making the most of your time since no one has lived forever and the time will come that you will die and no one exactly knows when or how. So why not be productive with your life and start with the simplest things so that you wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. Here are some things you can do under 5 minutes to make you feel better and happy during the day and at the same time productive just by being in your house.

Wash Your Face and Brush Your Teeth
Having a refreshing feeling after you wake up in the morning will totally help you feel better about yourself. It wouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes doing both especially if you don’t need to do anything special. And don’t forget to floss.

Make Your Bed
One of the most common things people don’t really bother doing is making their bed. Why is it so difficult for people to do this even if it wouldn’t even take them more than a minute or two. According to a research survey conducted by Hunch, people who make their beds in the morning tend to be more productive and happy. Look at it this way, when you come home from work or wherever you are the entire day, you will see your bed looking so neat because you made it before you leave. If you see what kind of mess it is in then you wouldn’t really feel like that good.
According to Psychology Today, people who do not make their beds are more likely to hate their jobs, are not really productive in life and tired most of the time. This may be true for some, but it literally wouldn’t take you so much time to make your bed so why not try doing it?

Pick up clothes/shoes
There will always be that random sock lying on the ground or a pair of boots that you will see somewhere in your house. Now, this may take you more than 5 minutes, depending on how much you have but it’s for your own good. Putting all the dirty clothes in your hamper or laundry wouldn’t really take you that long.

Take the trash out (home and car)
This is really something you can do under 5 minutes because you will only literally take the trash out from your home. And don’t forget the random garbages on your car like pieces of candy, receipts and any other stuff that you always forget to throw into the bin.

Back up your computer
You may think like nothing’s gonna happen to your computer or laptop so why the need for a backup. Well, first of all, no one knows what is going to happen, and secondly, computers are still a machine and a machine does not last forever so it wouldn’t really hurt if you back all your data up. It is better to be safe than sorry and besides, you can do this while doing other stuff as well. At least when you back it all up, you wouldn’t have to worry about your files being corrupted or erased if something happens.

Get through your messages and emails
It is always best to check your messages and emails since there are things you might need to attend to, like things at work or school or even like a family or friend matter. It might take you a while if you have a lot, but you can always take one step at a time. Go through what you think are more significant first and just go from there, especially the ones that need an immediate response.

Get up and take a short walk
It doesn’t matter if you walk around your place or just around the corner of your street, a walk is a walk. This is perfect especially for the people who are sitting at work all day.
There are so many things you can do in just a very short amount of time. You just have to think of how productive you can actually be.
