An unmistakable icon for the past 60 years Colonel Harland David Sander went through many ventures in his life, most of them ended up as failures. From being a blacksmith’s helper to sell health insurance and abandoning a short law career Colonel Sander never gave up. He was already in his 40’s when he had his destiny, frying chicken, only to be set back by the great depression. And only in 1952 when he was 62 years he opened his 1st Kentucky Fried Chicken, which gained him is worldwide fame.
