Alice Cooper, Born In 1948 – Dark Shadows

Although his name at the time of his birth was Vincent Damon Furnier, this incredibly gifted musician would go on to create one of the most iconic heavy metal bands of the era and change his name to ‘Alice Cooper’ in the process.

The American singer and songwriter is, to this day, one of the biggest influences in the heavy metal genre, with ‘Rolling Stones’ magazine calling Cooper one of the world’s most beloved entertainers. During a career stretching over fifty years, the brilliant creative has ventured into acting, radio, and even the business of running a restaurant, all with great success.
