FRANZ BECKENBAUER –MERCEDES 450 SEL 6.9

The former German football player Franz Beckenbauer built up a legacy not only in a mental but also in a material sense through his successful career and his coaching position. Beckenbauer’s total assets are estimated at around 10 million, a good amount of which he recently invested in buying back his favorite car, a blue Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9. He had bought the car in 1976 but had discarded it in the meantime. This was also the second time he was reunited with his car after it was stolen while on vacation in Italy. By chance, the 76-year-old was able to buy it from a friend and so the old, new car has great value for Beckenbauer, and not just materially.
