Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero, whose stage name is Connie Francis. She is a well-heard pop singer and a former actress. She was on the top chart as a female vocalist in the late 50s to early 60s. Connie grew up in an Italian Jewish neighborhood, so she became fluent in Yiddish. She recorded some songs in Yiddish and Hebrew.
