Gary Trousdale, Born in 1960 – American Animator

Gary Trousdale is a brilliant animator, director, and storyboard artist. He was born on June 8, 1960. Trousdale spent several years working on small projects before being given the opportunity to direct big movies. Like many aspiring animators, he always dreamed of one day working for Disney. However, the road to becoming a Disney feature director was not as straightforward as one might expect.

Trousdale was recruited by Walt Disney Feature Animation in 1985. With the fame of his first animated film directorial debut, Beauty and the Beast, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture and won a LAFCA Award, Gary rose to significant notoriety in his profession.
