Rebecca De Mornay, Born in 1959 – Risky Business

American actress and producer, Rebecca De Mornay’s career was always going to be successful. Still, it rose to prominence after her breakthrough role in the ’80s film ‘Risky Business’ alongside now superstar, Tom Cruise.

Since then, Rebecca has gone on to feature in several films and television shows. She even starred in a music video for the soft rock band ‘Starship!’ Now, she’s still expanding her already impressive resume in her sixties. We look forward to seeing what more she has in store for us in the years to come!

Connie Stevens, Born In 1938 – Hawaiian Eye

Connie Stevens charmed her way into Hollywood after she portrayed the lovely Cricket in the massively popular 1959 series, ‘Hawaiian Eye.’ Not only is she an exceptional actress, but Stevens has dabbled in music too, and was quite successful at it with over 9 studio albums released.

The blond star remains active in the industry and has recently appeared in the 2019 film titled ‘By the Rivers of Babylon.’ During her downtime, Stevens bonds with family in her beautiful Studio City ranch house – she has figured out a great work-life balance from the looks of it!

Linda Evans, Born In 1942 – Dynasty

TV stars come and go, but Linda Evans is unforgettable thanks to her magnificent performance as Krystle Carrington in ‘Dynasty.’ Prestigious award-giving bodies noticed her exceptional work, and she was eventually honored with a ‘Golden Globe Award’ for Best Actress in 1981.

Evans was mostly present on television from the sixties until the late nineties, where she hosted the ‘European Soundmix Show’ in 1997 before she finally called it quits in showbusiness. Fans surely miss the veteran star, but her active social media presence makes up for her absence on screen!

Barbara Knox, Born in 1933-  Coronation Street

Barbara Knox is a British actress known for her work in Coronation Street as Rita Tanner. Barbara is also known as the longest serving T.V. soap opera actress in the world. However, she was a professional stage actor who made her debut in 1962 with a minor role in a dancing remake of Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Before that, she worked in a post office and prepared to pass the Civil Service exams. During that period, Knox took part in theatre, which eventually led her to become a great actress. Also, she appeared in T.V. shows like Feel the Width, George and the Dragon, and A Family at War.

Julie McKenzie, Born in 1941 – Marple

Julia Kathleen Nancy McKenzie is a well-known English actress, singer, presenter, and theatre director. On television, McKenzie is known for her BAFTA Award nomination for Hester Fields in the sitcom ‘Fresh Fields’ and its sequel and also as Miss Marple in Agatha Christie’s Marple. She also recorded an audiobook of Lewis Carroll’s ‘Through the Looking Glass.’

McKenzie appeared in a National Theatre 80th birthday tribute to Lord Oliver, ‘Happy Birthday, Sir Larry’, on 31 May 1987 in the presence of Olivier himself. McKenzie was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2018 New Year Honors for services to drama.

Twiggy, Born in 1949- The Boy Friend

Dame Lesley Lawson is widely known as Twiggy for her thin body structure. She is an English model, actress, and singer, considered beautiful with big eyes, long eyelashes, and short hair despite having an androgynous appearance. In 1966 Twiggy was named “The Face of 1966” by Daily Express, and following the same year, she was voted as British Woman of the Year.

Later in 1967, Twiggy was a successful model in France, Japan, and the U.S.A. for Vogue and The Tatler’s covers. Also, by 1971, her performance in Boy Friend, she took home two Golden Globe Awards. Currently, Twiggy and her husband, Leigh Lawson, reside in London.
