Teri Garr, Born in 1944 – Tootsie

American actress Teri Garr is best known as Dustin’s Hoffman’s neurotic girlfriend in the hit film ‘Tootsie.’ Garr began working as a dancer in a series of Elvis Presley films. She did debut in the Star Trek episode ‘Assignment: Earth.’ Later, she made appearances in several shows, including ‘The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.’

Garr published an autobiography, ‘Speedbumps: Flooring It Through Hollywood,’ details her career and health struggles after multiple sclerosis. She appeared on The Moth’ Radio Hour’ to tell a humorous reminiscence, ‘Wake Up Call.’ Garr last acted on television in 2011 and appeared at the 19th Annual Race to Erase MS event.
