Country music has produced numerous stars and one-hit wonders, but there’s no one quite like Loretta Lynn! She takes the cake for having one of the most lucrative careers in music history, with an award collection that would impress any artist of today’s generation.

It’s been years since she last released a new song, but people will always remember Lynn as the sweet-singing country girl who won the Artist of the Decade courtesy of the ‘Academy of Country Music.’ After all the hard work she’s done, one could say she merited a well-deserved break!

Richard Dean Anderson, Born in 1950- General Hospital

A well-known face in Hollywood is known for his work in the American soap opera General Hospital. The series gave widespread recognition to Richard Dean, which led him to the lead role in MacGyver. Eventually, Dean appeared in films including Firehouse, Through the Eyes of a Killer, and Pandora’s Clock, which is counted as his notable work.

Later from 1997- 2005, Dean starred in Stargate SG-1 and its consecutive parts. It was based on the movie Stargate and agreed to work on this project as Dean saw a valuable potential. Later filming the pilot for Barbara Eden’s show, she went on to star in many T.V. movies that showed off both her comedic and dramatic skills. Additionally, Barbara most recently starred in My Adventures With Santa. This is a heartfelt and fun-filled adventure film that brings the magic of Christmas to the whole family. Helen Shapiro, Born in 1946 – You Don’t Know

Helen Kate Shapiro is a British actress, jazz and pop singer. In 1961, two of her songs were UK chart-toppers, You Don’t Know and Walkin’ Back to Happiness. Surprisingly enough, she was just 14 years old when she recorded both these songs. In addition, even before the age of sixteen, Helen was voted Britain’s “Top Female Singer.”

To top it all off, The Beatles’ were an opening act on one of her shows in 1963. The band members John Lennon and Paul McCartney even wrote a song for her called Misery. However, her team declined the song without her knowledge. Shapiro has been married to actor John Judd since 1988.

TV stars come and go, but Linda Evans is unforgettable thanks to her magnificent performance as Krystle Carrington in ‘Dynasty.’ Prestigious award-giving bodies noticed her exceptional work, and she was eventually honored with a ‘Golden Globe Award’ for Best Actress in 1981.

Evans was mostly present on television from the sixties until the late nineties, where she hosted the ‘European Soundmix Show’ in 1997 before she finally called it quits in showbusiness. Fans surely miss the veteran star, but her active social media presence makes up for her absence on screen!

Dame Lesley Lawson is widely known as Twiggy for her thin body structure. She is an English model, actress, and singer, considered beautiful with big eyes, long eyelashes, and short hair despite having an androgynous appearance. In 1966 Twiggy was named “The Face of 1966” by Daily Express, and following the same year, she was voted as British Woman of the Year.

Later in 1967, Twiggy was a successful model in France, Japan, and the U.S.A. for Vogue and The Tatler’s covers. Also, by 1971, her performance in Boy Friend, she took home two Golden Globe Awards. Currently, Twiggy and her husband, Leigh Lawson, reside in London.

Loni Anderson, Born in 1945- Cincinnati

Loni Anderson is a prominent face of Hollywood who is best known for her work in Cincinnati. For which she took home three Golden Globe Awards. Her film debut had a minor role in Nevada Smith in 1966. Also Anderson was seen in the sitcom Phyllis.

Anderson received multiple awards for her work as a comedian in the T.V. movie White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd. Anderson has been married four times and has two children. Loni’s parents were from World War II, who both smoked, and due to that, she witnessed the effects of C.O.P.D., a lung disease caused by smoking.

Steven Seagel, Born in 1952- Above the Law

Steven Seagal was born in Lansing, Michigan, now an actor, screenwriter, producer, and martial artist. He is a 7th dan black belt in aikido and began his adult life as a martial arts teacher in Japan. Soon Seagel moved to California to pursue the same profession for a broad audience.

By 1988 he set his foot in the acting industry and starred in the film Above the Law. Following the year, Seagel starred in four other successful films. Along with acting in cinema, Seidel also appeared in reality shows like Steven Seagal: Lawman. Besides a great career in acting and as a martial artist, Seagel holds citizenships of three countries.

Robert William Barker is famous by the name Bob Barker. He is best known for hosting the show The Price is Right from 1972 to 2007. The show eventually became the longest-running daytime game show in North America. Besides, Bob’s notable work also includes Truth or Consequences, which ran from 1956 to 75.

Many of his fans may be unknown with the fact that Bob was listed in the U.S. Navy at the time of World War II. However, things turned out differently for him. Before being on T.V., he worked in radio as a part-time job during his college days.

Wanda Jackson is a retired singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was a successful artist in the industry. Her main focus was country music which included many hit songs, “Right or Wrong”, and “A Woman Lives for Love,”. By 2009, Wanda was honored in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Early Influence.

William Daniels, Born in 1927- Boy Meets World

William Daniel is an American actor known for his role in St. Elsewhere. For that, he took home two Emmy Awards. Later his popularity increased with a role in the sitcom Boy Meets World which turned out to be a turning point in his career. He was president of the Screen Actor Guild from 1999 to 2001.

Initially, his career began as a member of the singing Daniels family in Brooklyn, and somehow William made his T.V. debut in 1943 Life With Father and the rest of the history is known. William is married to his long love Bonnie Bartlett, an actress and a recipient of the Emmy Award.

Barbara Knox is a British actress known for her work in Coronation Street as Rita Tanner. Barbara is also known as the longest serving T.V. soap opera actress in the world. However, she was a professional stage actor who made her debut in 1962 with a minor role in a dancing remake of Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Bill Cobbs didn’t start as an actor, and after doing a bunch of odd jobs and completing a stint as a radar technician in the ‘US Air Force,’ he headed to New York and started pursuing his dream of acting.

In 1974 he landed his debut film role and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Bill has appeared in several movies and television shows, his most recent being ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ which concluded in 2020. Bill is well on the way to his nineties, but it looks like his passion for acting is keeping him young at heart!
