The first UK hit of hers was The Little Shoemaker; she also began recording in French within the next two years. Later, at the age of 12, Petula was discovered by movie director Maurice Elvey. She was cast in his war drama Medal for the General.

Since 1945, French actress and singer, Line Renaud has been lighting up stages and screens across the world with her talent and voice, appearing on several television shows worldwide.

Line is still going strong and has also been dedicating a large part of her life to her other passion, AIDS activism, since 1985. She’s part of events like ‘Sidaction’ and vice-president of a trust, all of which helps collect and distribute funds for people who live with HIV, and we applaud her for helping to make the world a better place!

Music star Barbara Mandrell broke the mold as a country singer. Her career culminated in her being the first person to win the illustrious and coveted ‘CMA’ entertainer of the year award, not once, but two years in a row! A prodigious achievement held only by her.

Barbara stepped out of the limelight in 2000 and is still held in high regard by her former colleagues and peers. Although she says that she misses the spotlight, she made the right choice and has been spending quality time with her family ever since.
Wanda Jackson, Born in 1937- Right or Wrong
Wanda Jackson is a retired singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was a successful artist in the industry. In the mid-50s-60s, she gained massive popularity from the audience and was called Queen of Rockabilly or the First Lady of Rockabilly. Her main focus was country music which included many hit songs, “Right or Wrong”, and “A Woman Lives for Love,”. By 2009, Wanda was honored in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Early Influence.

Later she announced her retirement from performing in 2019. Wanda was involved in a romantic relationship with her manager, Wendell Goodman, having two children together. Before her husband’s death, she lived in Oklahoma City.
