Michael Parkinson is a broadcaster, journalist, and author who has spent his career connecting with us through the power of speech. He first became known for presenting not just one talk show but an entire series of “Parkinson,” which he hosted from 1971 to 1982.
After his talk show, Parkinson appeared in commercials for SunLife Guaranteed Over 50 Plan life insurance. He also claims that he likes “its no-nonsense approach to business.” In 2014, Parkinson signed a letter with 200 other public figures showing their hope that Scotland would vote to stay in England. In 1959, Parkinson married Mary Agnes Heneghan. Under her new name, they had three children.
