George Alagiah is a prominent name in the media industry. In 2007, he took over as the only news anchor for BBC News at Six. For his extraordinary input to journalism, he has been bestowed with numerous honors like the Amnesty International UK Media Award for “best television journalist” and “Media Personality of the Year” by the Ethnic Minority Media.
