Whoopi Goldberg – SlimFast

Every once in a while, celebs do or say something that costs them a lucrative opportunity. Whoopi Goldberg was the spokesperson for weight loss product manufacturer Slim-Fast, but she lost it when she made an inappropriate joke. Whoopi’s remarks at a fundraiser in New York in 2004 were found to be offensive to some, and Slim-Fast dropped her immediately after that. She reportedly made an explicit joke about Bush, and the media covered it extensively. Goldberg released a statement defending her conduct. This didn’t harm her bank account a lot, though. She starred in two comedies in 2018, Furlough and Nobody’s Fool.
