Billy Joel churned out Cold Spring Harbor, his debut album in the year 1973, but couldn’t garner much success with it. However, he made a point to bounce back with a host of other albums such as Streetlife Serenade in the year 1974, The Stranger in 1977, and 52nd Street in the year 1978. The amount of money he amassed in his bank account, therefore, has been quite impressive.

According to property reports, Joel parted ways with his property in Miami Beach, Florida, at an approximate price of $13.75 million. He is said to have given up on his prized 150-foot boat as well. Joel’s love for his boats is well known, and it shouldn’t be surprising at all if he decides to sell off his properties on land and goes on to live on the water.
